i really wish I had something deep and meaningful to say...but i don't.

hello 2009...second to last year of the first decade of the third millennium...

and i have one wish...please use apostrophes correctly and appropriately...i.e. "look at the girl's" is wrong...it is a plural. plural means more than one. when there is more than one it does not need an apostrophe. when an apostrophe is used in this manner it indicates possession. since there is a word missing that is the object that belongs to the girl, then this apostrophe is being misused. however..."look at the girl's ______" (add in an object you can see (or would like to see)..i can think of two)...indicates that one girl possesses what you are looking at (or for). the other thing you use an apostrophe for is to indicate missing letters in a contraction...e.g. don't...which is a contraction of do not. the o in not is missing therefore the apostrophe is used in its place...i'm declaring 2009 the year of the apostrophe...let's (contraction of let us) save it before it becomes extinct.
