the word apeshit...i just read it in a fellow blogger's anecdotes. what an amazing word which means literally nothing to people from outside of aotearoa.
black..the colour and the album. i know that many think that this album makes metallica a sellout...but i reckon (another great word by the way) that if it attracts you to the brand and makes you want more...how can it be a bad thing?..it makes you money. that must be good. you just do 'better' next time. but the people like what they like and the purists hate it. i don't care. i like it. and black IS a colour...no matter what anyone says.
being a bogan...this relates to the previous entry. bare feet are a good thing. as are black t-shirts, long hair, a great drum beat, an interesting lead riff and a solid bass. why are the bass players the sexy ones? is it that finger thing they have going on?
sport...any decent kiwi loves sport...and dan (the cricket version) is very hot...
new zild...again...another segue. as cringemaking as our 'accent' is...and i will argue this to the death...i have NO accent..it's just the way i talk...no one else in the world is like us. we are not australian and we are not british as i have been accused of being overseas. i am proudly and uniquely kiwi. and deeply, deeply proud. oh, and yes...the 'accent' is sexy.
travelling...broadens the horizons and makes one appreciate where one is from...which is the best little place in the world...
correct spelling and punctuation..it's just courtesy. like being punctual..i like that too.
ink...i like them but not the tacky regretful ones. my brother and i have a slight disagreement. we both like them but i believe they have to mean something. he thinks they are just pretty art. whatever they are, i like them...and i have them...get over it!
